The front page of JaredDunn.org (since moved to JaredDunn.org/aggregat) is an ongoing experiment in life data aggregation. It has MagpieRSS sitting under the hood, pulling in and parsing feeds from various social networking content sites that I frequent. I update my info on those sites (or in some cases, it’s collected passively), and then it automagically shows up here as fairly complete picture of what I’m doing, seeing, reading, photographing, and so on at any given time.
The rest of the site has been built up over time in a similarly experimental manner, and is thus a hodge-podge of different technologies and tools from different eras, including my ancient and much neglected blog still running on Movable Type, an old personal portal that I used for years as my browser start page, and some early experiments with CSS layouts. The latest addition is this portfolio, which is running on an up-to-date install of WordPress. I hope over time to consolidate most of the old content into WordPress and move forward from there with a full-fledged personal homepage and blog, but for now this site works as sort of a museum of my experiments with different web technologies and design techniques over time.
